It has been repeated to the point of folklore, that those who heard the Nixon Kennedy debate on radio thought Nixon won, but that those who saw it on television thought Kennedy won.
I heard parts of the first hour with my headphone radio at the Gateway- Norwin game, I was somewhat subdued by what a "good speech" John McCain was giving, he was presenting his bumper stickers without regard to the questions posed, a winning tactic (not stategy) for Republicans for years.
Then we got home and saw the replays and recieved the classic "different" impression, but to take it one step further, we watched some of it with the sound down(Alaska rules?).
I saw Barak Obama; confident, focused, engaged.
I saw John McCain looking like a pedaphile under interrogation at a Turkish police station.

I'll be honest, the debate bored me to tears. There is almost an over sensitivity with both candidates, that as soon as one says something, the other side is quick to demand an apology for being offended. Maybe it is just me, but bring on the good old fashioned ass kicking and the less crying about how offended candidate A is over something candidate B said. The chicks on The View go at each other harder than these two, and with less need for Kleenexes every time something is said.
