The end of a whirlwind week end day,9 PM, out in the driveway, in my PJ's, unloading the groceries from the back of the mini van.
A figure ambled up the sidewalk, Steeler shirt, blue jeans, long haired man of uneven gait. Stoop shouldered, he wasn't too drunk but had a strange pattern of locomotion, as a puppet with a stick up his backside.
He was 10 feet north of the driveway, on his way, it seemed, when he belched over his shoulder; "Obama sucks!".
I gave the moment no more import than deserved, but added it to a growing disquiet of how things could and probibly will, go wrong.
The problem is, that the great remaining number of undecieded voters look like this guy, under-educated white working class Blah blah blah....... and it scares the shit out of me that things are so close, that the fate of western civilization is in the hands of idiots.
If you think I am being harsh, look at this or this.
Then look at the fact, that the pipeline of information for these Rhodes Scholars, The television, is filled with brainless corporate tools who will never report this because it is too complicated.
Obama has done a great job, the numbers look good. But the kind of "he is not like us" shit they have been throwing may start to gain traction with people who dont quite think things through.
I would love to see the co-relation between those paying 450% interest to have a big screen TV and those who will vote for John McCain.
Further tension comes from the fact that these folks have not taken the opposite side over a gentlemanly disagreement over depreciation rates for factory equipment but life and death serious legends of their own minds.
Obama, to them, will fullfill his negroness, by personally sexing their wives and daughters, then fulfill his Muslimness by surrendering to Osama Bin Laden. They dont just want to vote against him, they want to give maximum shit to ANYONE who would support him.
These, at long last, are the fellow citizens who will decide the nations fate.
Tell me how I am supposed to feel.

You can fell ill. The thing is, they will always be with us. Nothing you can do about it. Sometimes it helps to engage them. Sometimes it can be dangerous.
They're becoming the real minority.
I've been surprised by some of the positive Obama comments I've been hearing lately.
We'll have to wait and see.
If Obama gets in, and survives the hatred of a few, it might just change history and people's perceptions forever and turn this barbaric country into a civilized one.

Elderly white folks watching Obama speeches on C-span, saying he is the best since Kennedy.
I just worry about the stability of these(low intellect) people. A bunch of junior Tim McVeys, at least in their paranoid thought, they make me nervous.
